Ominous thunder wakes us

Shot down by the family
Now I capture that

With just one phone call
My work chaos volume hushed
Crime partner returned

I am a dart board
Others take aim with their lists
Mine lay on the ground

Work is connections
Why would we sign up for this
If not to enrich?
