I was reminded
Of a previous work life
Over pink brain cake

Our years of debate
Caused by picture direction
Now, more savvy fights

The ants are running
Each following their own path
Some maps would be nice

With my bedtime near
I was blocked by a request
To play techie mom

On the day of rest
I multitasked my task list
The day scrammed quite bored

We travelled by foot
Listened to our neighborhood
Said “no” to straight lines

Builders kicked us out
Friends opened their intact house
We sprawled out in space

Week three, no kitchen
We chat at the chefs table
At the burger joint

Many years ago
I faked my Hamlet critique
Time to make it right
