One full file folder
Seemed simple to move, but then
I opened it up

The town is talking
But why? Just because I quit?
They are right, I did

Lined up with others
They learned self defense and forms
And left wanting more

No room for the chair
As we moved the room around
Such great plans – denied

I planned as I drove
A route free of cars and stops
I never slowed down

I scrubbed, swept and mopped
Attacking the albatross
That clouded my days

What? A minivan?
Across the table, I flinch.         
Thought we all made it

The boy grabbed some blue
Paper to color the sky
What about crayons?

Waiting for Best Buy
To hook up the new washer
I read magazines
