We sat across from two friends
And felt quite refreshed

We stop and snatch the moment
Knowing they’re fleeting

With menu in hand
All day date with my kitchen
We both needed it

Public forum flares
Lit by a rich neophyte
Money won’t fix this

A club breakfast start
She jockeyed through the airport
On her way back home

Summer rain cleanses
Winter rain is omnimous
For those who loathe ice

Monday gripped its bag
And lodged hazards and hurdles
Entangling the path

With task list in hand
The weekend dissipated
Before we looked up

Staring at the room
Figured how to cram in more
Now we execute

Our end of week treat
With the TV on, we napped
Mimicking the cat
