Kindly drops our friends nearby
Life pauses, we chat

The Uptown Art Fair
Brings back my much-loved artist
I wear her journey

On a Friday night
A few text conversations
Undoes the workweek

My day took a turn
With a chaotic spreadsheet
Filled my screen with yuck

Thoughts scurried about
Fought back with pen and paper
They jumped off the page

Indicted again
Meanwhile, the grift continues
His fans cheer him on

We walked through the door
And the cats welcomed us home
We prepped for their snub
