The kids hung out and went out
I played the adult

We see what’s inside
After the indictment wait
Like Christmas morning

The nasty sickness
Divides our house into zones
Let’s see if it works

We summarize years
Sharing Homer-esque journeys
But it’s still just us

Hail pelted the house
As I fled the workday’s woes
Like its own soundtrack

With dry-food ignored
The cat eyes up the fried rice
Thinks it’s a cat bowl
